Join us on the lawn, directly behind the Braswell Memorial Library and between the Library and Imperial Centre, on Friday, October 3, 2025 for an evening of informal stargazing and telescope viewing focusing on our Moon! The moon will be nearly full and rising in the east as we set our scopes up for the evening. Saturn returns to the evening sky and may show its rings, which are nearly edge-on as seen from here on Earth!

Help us set a world telescope viewing record for this global event! Experienced observers from the Tar River Astronomy Club will be on hand to assist and explain everything! Viewing takes place weather permitting.

Braswell Memorial Library is located at 727 Grace St. in Rocky Mount, NC.
