Learn the history of craft as resistance and secret code & how to make your own resistance hat!About this EventCrafting the ResistanceIt's on everyone's minds, how do we go about crafting a resistance in the face of fascism? I will be giving a talk on crafting as resistance and as a means of communicating important ideas. You will learn about the history of using craft as code and as a means of organizing resistance in hostile conditions. I will also touch on art as expression and healing, and showcase stories of people affected by war and detention who later made art about their experience.Attendees will start their own Norwegian resistance hat which is currently been popularized by an adapted pattern on Ravelry.
