Troops are invited to join us for a highly engaging and service‑driven weekend at Camp Yawgoog, where Scouts and adults come together to help prepare camp for another unforgettable summer season. This is a chance for the whole troop to enjoy a meaningful early weekend at Yawgoog while contributing valuable service hours.
Troops who attend this weekend will also be welcomed back for a special additional weekend where the Yawgoog staff will administer swim qualifications. This follow‑up opportunity helps troops save time on Sundays during the summer and ensures a smoother start to their week at camp.

What to Expect
Participants will take part in a variety of hands-on projects essential to getting camp ready for the season, including:

Setting up tents across camp
Moving bunks, cots, and mattresses
Arranging picnic tables
Clearing brush and improving outdoor areas
Spreading mulch
Additional setup tasks across camp

Weekend Schedule
Friday, May 15 - Troops may begin moving in after 5:00pm

Saturday, May 16
8:00am – Breakfast
9:00am–12:00pm – Morning service projects
12:30pm – Lunch
2:00pm–3:00pm – Afternoon service projects
5:45pm – Dinner

Sunday, May 17
8:00am – Breakfast (final activity of the weekend)

What to Bring
Scouts and adults should bring their own tenting and sleeping gear, as this weekend’s purpose includes preparing campsite equipment. Clothing should be appropriate for the weather and for performing physical activity during morning and evening sessions.
