4th Annual Mead Competition

We are calling all brewers. Grayscale will be hosting a mead competition for Armageddon 2026.

Any homebrewed alcohol brewed with honey from Braggots and Acerglyns to Bochets and Pyments can be entered. The panels of judges will pick the best among them, determined by Aroma, appearance, flavor, mouthfeel, and overall impression.

The winner will receive a $100 to continue their efforts. First and second will get a belt flag reflecting their skill. Entry is limited to 1 per person with an entry fee of $10.

Afterwards there will be time to speak with the judges and other participants in the pursuit of bettering each others Home-brewing.

Fortifying with distilled spirits will be allowed up to 20% ABV.

Please bring 1 bottle (750 ml or equivalent) minimum so that the judges have enough to taste. I would also recommend a second bottle for sharing with other contestants after the competition.

You will be asked to present your mead with a brief description before the judges partake.
