- **Event Description**: You only have one heart. Getting your coronary calcium score scan can save your life.

A coronary calcium score is like a “mammogram” for the 
heart to screen for blockage(s). This simple, non-invasive test can indicate coronary artery disease before the onset of symptoms or heart attacks. The scan does not require IV or Oral CT contrast. 

Appointments are in 15 min increments. Last appointment will 
be at 1:45 pm. Limited appointments available (see eligibility below). To register, please call (516) 62-MERCY (63729) or (516) 626-3729. No insurance necessary. 

For eligibility, you will need to meet most of the criteria below:

• Be between the ages of 40-70 years old. 
• A history of smoking.
• High cholesterol.
• High blood pressure (even if controlled).
• Diabetes.
• Overweight with BMI >25
• Family history of heart disease.
• Have not had a heart attack, stroke, or 
serious cardiovascular event.
• Have not had coronary bypass surgery 
or a coronary stent.
• Not pregnant


***** The free screening is not conditional on the receipt of additional health care services at Catholic Health. No additional services will be discounted unless eligible for financial assistance under Catholic Health Hospital’s Financial Assistance Policy. If you require follow‑up, the findings will be provided to your physician. We can help refer you to a qualified cardiologist or primary care doctor if you do not have one. *****
