Blackhawk Blvd. This frame home was built in 1903 for C.E. Phelps. The foyer is dramatized by graceful oak arches and an open spindle staircase. Five leaded glass bay windows - some with window seats - are also featured in our home. Oak flooring, moldings and doors in addition to a deacon's bench add to the old world elegance of this house. https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events2/banners/e445e1d0-be0e-11f0-95c4-05f756d64625-rimg-w1079-h740-dcefefec-gmir.jpg 4 17 W. Chapel St.Welcome to our Victorian home it was built off of the main street by a lawyer in 1892. However the town needed a site for a fire station so our house had to be moved. In1977 a big occasion took place - our house was moved down Main Street to it's current location. Because of the move a modern foundation was added which otherwise would still be a limestone basement. At Christmas time it's fun decorating our house as Victorian days seem to remind us of Christmas. Luckily we do not have a Scrooge living here - well maybe some days it's a Mrs. Scrooge. Limestone was sourced locally. House was built by clover brothers. House was built green. Which means wood had to dry out first. Done with horse hair plaster. Historically had brick walls on the interior because of Indian fighting at the time. Newest addition was added 2008-2010. https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events4/banners/e4b54570-be0e-11f0-95c4-05f756d64625-rimg-w1091-h740-dcc2d5e9-gmir.jpg 703 Green St.Welcome to the Wagoner Home! John Clover bought the land from Isaac Adams & Charles Fox for $300.00 and started building the solid red brick home in 1855 as a spec house. The brick was made at The John Lally Brick Yard in Rockton and ferried across the river. Mr. Clover sold the home to F.A. Smith in 1857 for $3,000.00. William & Mary Webber appear to be the 2nd owners of the home around 1870. In 1880, they deeded land on the north end of the property to The Central Illinois and Wisconsin Railway company for the train station that was built at the end of Green Street ran from the 1886 until 1980 when it was officially closed. In 1883, they deeded some land to the Village of Rockton for a road on the south end of the property that was never put in but eventually deeded back to the land owner in 1956. In 1907, Mrs. Webber sold to Clarence and Emma Taylor for $1,750.00. In 1925 the property was sold to the Krotz Family for $3,000.00 mortgage and an interest rate of 6%! Mr. Krotz was the inventor of the Sears Roebuck Car and one was stored in the carriage barn durning his time here. During this time the home’s foot print stayed the same. There were five barns on the property and it was a working chicken farm and orchard. In 1957, the Bissell family bought the property for $9,500. They sold off two parcels of land to the north taking the property down to 1.5 acres from 2-3/4 acres. They also added the family room to the back and remodeled and added onto the kitchen to the north. The Ruper's owned the home from 1983 thru 1999 and the Koepsell’s from 1999 to 2017. - **Event URL**: https://allevents.in/rockton/rockton-christmas-walk-historic-homes-for-the-holidays-tour/100001964887734106 - **Event Categories**: christmas, holiday, nonprofit, kids - **Interested Audience**: - total_interested_count: 0 ## Ticket Details - **Ticket Price Range**: min: 23.18, max: 23.18, currency: USD ## Event venue details - **city**: Rockton - **state**: IL - **country**: United States - **location**: Dee Dee's Main Street Coffee & Decor - **lat**: 42.45270149999999 - **long**: -89.072632 - **full address**: Dee Dee's Main Street Coffee & Decor, 101 West Main Street, Rockton, United States ## Event gallery - **Alt text**: Rockton Christmas Walk: Historic Homes for the Holidays Tour - **Image URL**: https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events4/banners/fb24746f9e31fbcf9e44b13faf83582605a068dcfe5c786b6e7e30bb9bb236a3-rimg-w1200-h600-dc1a1a26-gmir.jpg?v=1762763174 ## FAQs - **Q**: When and where is Rockton Christmas Walk: Historic Homes for the Holidays Tour being held? - **A:** Rockton Christmas Walk: Historic Homes for the Holidays Tour takes place on Sun, 07 Dec, 2025 at 04:00 pm to Sun, 07 Dec, 2025 at 07:00 pm at Dee Dee's Main Street Coffee & Decor, 101 West Main Street, Rockton, United States. - **Q**: Who is organizing Rockton Christmas Walk: Historic Homes for the Holidays Tour? - **A:** Rockton Christmas Walk: Historic Homes for the Holidays Tour is organized by Village of Rockton. ## Structured Data (JSON-LD) ```json [ { "@context": "https://schema.org", "@type": "Event", "name": "Rockton Christmas Walk: Historic Homes for the Holidays Tour", "image": "https://cdn-az.allevents.in/events4/banners/fb24746f9e31fbcf9e44b13faf83582605a068dcfe5c786b6e7e30bb9bb236a3-rimg-w1200-h600-dc1a1a26-gmir.jpg?v=1762763174", "startDate": "2025-12-07", "endDate": "2025-12-07", "url": "https://allevents.in/rockton/rockton-christmas-walk-historic-homes-for-the-holidays-tour/100001964887734106", "location": { "@type": "Place", "name": "Dee Dee's Main Street Coffee & Decor", "address": { "@type": "PostalAddress", "streetAddress": "101 West Main Street", "postalCode": "61072", "addressLocality": "Rockton", "addressRegion": "IL", "addressCountry": "US" }, "geo": { "@type": "GeoCoordinates", "latitude": "42.45270149999999", "longitude": "-89.072632" } }, "eventAttendanceMode": "https://schema.org/OfflineEventAttendanceMode", "description": "Lovers of historic homes, here's your chance to tour four historic homes in downtown Rockton, lovingly decorated for the holidays.", "offers": [ { "@type": "AggregateOffer", "availability": "https://schema.org/InStock", "priceCurrency": "USD", "availabilityStarts": "2026-10-13", "availabilityEnds": "2025-12-07", "validFrom": "2026-10-13", "lowPrice": "23.18", "highPrice": "23.18", "price": "23.18", "url": "https://allevents.in/rockton/rockton-christmas-walk-historic-homes-for-the-holidays-tour/100001964887734106" }, { "@type": "Offer", "availability": "https://schema.org/InStock", "priceCurrency": "USD", "availabilityStarts": "2026-10-13", "availabilityEnds": "", "validFrom": "2026-10-13", "url": "https://allevents.in/rockton/rockton-christmas-walk-historic-homes-for-the-holidays-tour/100001964887734106", "price": "23.18", "name": "General Admission" } ], "organizer": [ { "@type": "Organization", "name": "Village of Rockton", "url": "https://allevents.in/org/village-of-rockton/22967945" } ] } ] ```
