Join us at Big Tree for a free weekly guided bird walk starting Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025, through Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from  9 to 10 a.m.. Note: We will not hold a walk on Dec. 24 or 31.

Bring: Sunscreen, water, insect repellent, and binoculars, if you have them, along with appropriate outdoor clothing and comfortable shoes. We'll have some loaner binoculars available on a first come first serve basis.

Accessibility: This walk takes place over pavement and grassy/sandy areas. We could walk up to 3/4 of a mile, however there will be an opportunity to park your vehicle further down the road if needed. For accessibility questions, email Ranger Sara: sara.rock@tpwd.texas.gov
