Join a ranger on a 1 mile hike of Turks Cap trail. Discover what nocturnal animals call Goose Island home. We'll have a limited supply of UV black lights for scorpion spotting.

-Meet: Turks Trail parking lot near campsite 157.
-Age: This program is best suited for those 5yrs and older.
-Bring: water, bug spray, comfortable walking shoes, and a Red or UV light. We'll use UV lights to spot scorpions! We will NOT use regular flashlights until the END of the program.
-Length: About 1 mile
-Accessibility: This program takes place on a trail with uneven, sandy areas. For questions on accessibility, email sara.rock@tpwd.texas.gov
*NOTE: We recommend wearing long sleeves and pants to help with mosquitoes/bugs. 

FYI:
-Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program.
-Program is free with park entrance ($5/person, children 12 &amp; under are free) or Texas State Parks Annual Pass.
-Groups larger than eight please contact Ranger Sara for a private event (sara.rock@tpwd.texas.gov)
-Program may be cancelled if no participants are present within 10 minutes of the start time, or in the case of inclement weather.
