- **Event Description**: Have you ever wanted to read The Odyssey or the New Testament in the original language? By the end of this fast-paced 10-week course (Saturdays, Jan. 10 - Mar. 14, from 10 - 11:30 AM), you will be able to read and write (and speak!) basic sentences in Ancient Greek as it was spoken in Athens around 500 BCE. (It will not help you order a coffee in Greece!) This course is open to all ages and is ideal for those who have never studied Ancient Greek before.

About the Instructor:

Elizabeth Ogle recently earned her master’s in Greek and Latin Languages & Literature from Oxford University, where she focused on Greek tragedy and the Underworld. She performed in the first Greek play ever to be staged in the original language and with reconstructed Ancient Greek music, instruments, and masks. She has over four years of assistant teaching experience across all age groups.
