What does the Church really mean when she calls us to “do justice”?

Join Catholics from across Brevard County for an evening of prayer, learning, and discussion as we explore the Catholic understanding of justice through the lens of Scripture and Catholic Social Teaching.

As Pope Leo reminds us:

“Spiritual conversion, the intensity of the love of God and neighbor, zeal for justice and peace, the Gospel meaning of the poor and of poverty, are required of everyone.”

Guest speakers Fr. Matt Mello (Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church) and Fr. Chris Hoffman (Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church) bring decades of experience in Catholic justice ministry. Together, they’ll share practical ways Catholics can faithfully respond to the needs of our communities while remaining rooted in the Gospel.

You’ll also learn about BRIGHT (Brevard Regional Interfaith Group Together) and how St. John and other Catholic parishes can collaborate with churches across Brevard County to address local challenges through faith-filled action.

Whether you’re already involved in outreach ministries or simply curious about what the Church teaches about justice, this workshop is for you.
