Strides for Hope 5k & Fun Run

Strides For Hope is a walkathon event created to raise money for women’s cancer research (breast cancer and gynecologic cancers). This event will take place on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Wasgatt Field in Rockland, Maine. The event is now a 5k and kids fun run, along with the vendor fair and cornhole tournament.

The two beneficiaries for the event are Maine Cancer Foundation’s TRI For a Cure (triforacure.org) and The Turn The Tide Ovarian Cancer Retreat.

Other events happening on this day are a vendor fair, local food trucks, a health fair, entertainment and a cornhole tournament.

The Strides for Hope Planning Committee is seeking volunteers to help plan this inaugural event as well as help the day of the event.

Sponsors are also needed for the event as well as vendors for the craft fair and health fairs.
