Guest presenters Norma & Alan Athearn, who participated last March in a locally organized group trip to Patagonia, have returned with amazing stories, photos, and tips on how to get the most out of a once in a lifetime trip like this! Audience members will learn about the area’s geography, view stunning photographs featuring Alan’s expert lens – capturing birds, animals, seascapes, mountain ranges, and glaciers!

Penobscot Bay Language School has been offering a variety of group travel opportunities for students of all ages. Following numerous immersion trips to Spain and France, local guide Nelson Sanchez-Oyarzo, a native of the Chilean city of Punta Arenas–the southern gateway to Patagonia–joined the PBLS travel team to launch a Patagonia group trip with the school. Last March four brave participants joined Nelson on a ten-day adventure in one of UNESCO’s most celebrated natural wonders of the world.
