Intro Into Art: A 4-Week Course

Starting March 2nd, and held over four consecutive Mondays at 6:00pm, this program is perfect for anyone ready to dive into their creative side, try something new, and discover the joy of making art. With four exciting new themes, this course offers a fun and accessible way to explore a variety of art forms—no experience required!
Why Join This Course? This series of workshops is ideal for anyone who:
-Wants to embrace creativity but doesn’t know where to begin
-Is eager to try new art techniques in a fun, welcoming environment
-Hopes to meet like-minded people and add some sparkle to their week
-Wants to build confidence and learn approachable ways to express themselves artistically
This program has been designed with feedback from our students who wanted to “try a bit of everything” while having fun in the process. Immersed in our creative community, you’ll leave each week inspired, with new skills and projects you’ll be proud to share.
What’s Included? Each week introduces an exciting new art form:
Week 1: Collage (Mar 2nd) – Learn how to combine shapes, colors, and textures to build stunning visual compositions.
Week 2: Textured Painting (Mar 9th) – Play with layering techniques and mediums to create rich, dynamic artworks.
Week 3: Alcohol Inks (Mar 16th) – Experiment with fluid, vibrant inks to create mesmerizing abstract designs.
Week 4: Beginner Oil Pastels (Mar 23rd) – Explore blending, shading, and color mixing with this versatile and expressive medium.
Course Details:
Dates: Starts Monday, March 2nd, running weekly for 4 weeks
Time: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Location: East Hall - 111 East Street Rockhampton (this is an upstairs venue)
Cost: $220 - full course, $75 - individual class
