Romance and Mayhem

I'm excited to present my first ever Romance, Mystery, and Mayhem event here at the award-winning Midway Village Musuem in Rockford, Illinois.

Join us for a reader’s event with some exciting authors in Christian Fiction who will be announced in the coming weeks.

Be ready to grab your ticket as there will be only 70 seats available for the 9-1 slots, with only 35 seats available for the special Death by Chocolate M**der Mystery Party that will be held that afternoon.

The 9-1 session will include talks by the authors, games with the authors, giveaways, gift bags for each attendee, the opportunity to meet the authors and to get signed bookplates from them, and lots of fun!

The 3-6 session will be at an additional cost to the attendee. We will be hosting an exciting Death by Chocolate M**der Mystery Party! Some of YOU might just be pulled into the mayhem and be forced to maintain your innocence...OR your guilt!

In between the two events, you’ll have the opportunity to tour the historic Midway Village Museum and explore the village as it was in the late 1800's and early 1900's as well as visit the indoor museum’s interactive exhibits. Explore Rockford History at Midway Village Museum in Rockford IL

Info: Our schedule of events for the morning is still a work in progress and could change, but I wanted to give you a general idea of what I’m expecting right now.

8:15-9:00 – Registration

9:00-9:15 – Refreshment and greeting time

9:15-9:30 – Introduction to event & authors

9:30-10:00 – Game with authors

10:00-10:30 – Panel with Romance authors

10:30-10:45 – Break

10:45-11:15 – Game with authors

11:15-11:45 – Panel with Mystery & Mayhem authors

11:45-12:15 – Author take-over

12:15-12:45 – Game with Authors

12:45-1:00 – Wrap up and grand prize giveaway


1:00-3:00 – Grab lunch off the grounds (everyone responsible for their meal) and/or wandering the museum grounds.

Info: 2:45-3:00 – Sign in for the M**der Mystery Party at the Chamberlain Hotel on the museum grounds.

3:00-6:00 – M**der Mystery Event (no more details available at this time)

Info: 7:00-??? – I will be arranging dinner reservations at a location TBD for everyone that is still around and wants to gather for a pay-your-own-meal. This way the fun can continue, and we can all continue to fellowship and have fun! (This is not mandatory. I understand completely if you need to get on the road right away.)
