- **Event Description**: You're invited to join Rockford Pilates Studio and Matty Sunshine Sound Healing for a special hybrid healing experience that will pair guided Pilates-style stretching with a soothing and restorative sound bath. The experience begins with approximately 15 minutes of guided Pilates-style floor stretching facilitated by Caylin Scott, Rockford Pilates Studio owner, followed by a relaxing, 60-minute sound bath facilitated by Matty Makowski, certified Sound Healing Practitioner, Reiki Master, and owner of Matty Sunshine Sound Healing. No prior Pilates experience is necessary.

A sound bath is a deeply immersive, full-body listening experience during which various instruments produce specific sounds, frequencies, and vibrations that can shift brainwaves into a relaxed state, allowing the nervous system to relax and release stuck/stagnant emotions, trauma, or energy. In this state, a person's natural healing abilities can work more effectively to bring them back into vibrational alignment across mind, body, and spirit. During this 60-minute sound bath, Matty plays instruments like crystal singing bowls, a gong named “Sunny”, Tingsha cymbals, and more that produce these sounds, frequencies, and vibrations that invite you into a deeper state of consciousness, serve as an opportunity to unplug from external stimuli, and promote self-inquiry/discovery. Post sound bath refreshments will be provided by Bright Eyed.

Some of the potential benefits of attending sound baths in a single session or regularly over time include, but are not limited to:

Location: Rockford Pilates Studio - 120 Courtland St, Rockford, MI 49341

Tickets: $40 per person (space limited to 20 people) 

What to Bring: Yoga mats, pillows, blankets, and eye masks will be provided, but you are welcome to also bring an additional yoga mat for extra padding and/or blankets to help enhance your experience as well as plenty of water. It is also recommended you bring water for post sound bath hydration and soft and comfortable clothes that allow you to fully relax. If you will need to sit upright for the entire sound bath, please contact Matty at MattySunshineSoundHealing@gmail.com in advance if you require a chair or other accommodations.
