Rockaway Beach King Tides 2025-26 & LOW TIDES

King Tides are starting again soon! We are urging everyone to stay off the jetties, stay off the beaches (even if it looks fun), and stay away from low-lying areas. Observe storms, waves, and high tides from a safe distance. Also, a friendly reminder (although most local residents are aware): Never turn your back to the ocean! Be aware of the water at all times, regardless of age, stature, and experience. Sneaker waves can happen at any time.
We usually experience heavy rains during these months, and we will have a fairly significant swell on the ocean. These combinations are a recipe for some very bad conditions should you find yourself in the wrong place. Please take a look at the tide information and weather conditions anytime you plan to visit the beach. It doesn't take much water to move those heavy, large logs and trees on the beach. Please stay away from them!
There’s always a possibility of flooding during these conditions.
