American Persimmon Tree Sale in Rock Island

American persimmons (Diospyros virginiana) are native to the eastern United States to about 100 miles south of Papa Pawpaw's nursery in Rock Island, IL but can easily be grown in all of Illinois and most of Iowa. They taste of caramel, butterscotch, and pumpkin spice.

All trees that I sell are grafted superior varieties and are all female trees that are parthenocarpic and can bear fruit with no pollen or are self fertile and will have a few male flowers and can pollinate themselves. You only need one tree from me to have fruit unlike seedlings (which I do not sell) that can be up to 80% male.
