After the featured presentation, we will break for refreshments, book sales, and socializing. All guests are invited to share for the open reading to follow!

Arthur Turfa is a Lexington, SC-based poet/writer active in the South Carolina Writers Association. His poems have appeared in Carolina Muse Literary & Arts Magazine, The Petigru Review, The Lothlorien Poetry Journal; one was in the Top Ten for the 2019 Poetry Prize of The Pangolin Review, as well as in other publications. His most recent poetry collection is Saluda Reflections from Finishing Line Press, © 2018.The Botleys of Beaumont County on Blurb, ©2021, is his first novel. Epiphanies, his short story collection, was released in March 2024 from Alien Buddha Press.

Our featured speaker’s other poetry books are: Places and Times from Histria, Accents from Amazon KDP, Gemini, from Broad River Books, and two books of ekphrastic poetry on works from his creative partner, Carol Worthington-Levy, A Village Remembered on Amazon KDP and All in the Family, on Blurb.

Arthur’s careers as a Lutheran pastor, educator, and Army chaplain have provided him with

countless experiences and insights. He reviews books in several genres for the Tupelo Press and others. On addition, he is a Poetry Co-Editor for Eleventh Hour Literary Review from Binghamton University, a fiction reader for the Northern Appalachia Review, and is on the Editorial Board for The Petigru Review.
