This program of baroque works for string orchestra will highlight the warm and sonorous timbre of the viola! The program will include Biber's innovative and colorful Battalia, Telemann's beloved concerto for viola and strings (the first ever written for the instrument), concerti grossi by Durante and Locatelli, and Bach's exquisite Brandenburg Concerto No. 6.
