They will be reflecting on the Line of Duty Death (LODD) Firefighter James Muller, who tragically made the ultimate sacrifice on May 26, 2023. This presentation isn't just about looking back; it’s about honoring James’s legacy by sharing the lessons learned from that day to ensure every firefighter returns home safely.

Members of the Irmo Fire District will be sharing firsthand insights, the findings from the NIOSH investigation, and the tactical evolutions they’ve made since that day.

James was a beloved member of the Irmo family, a "Rookie of the Year," and a dedicated public servant. 

They carry his memory with them on every call answered, and are committed to using this tragedy as a catalyst for safety and growth in the fire service.
