Inspired by the downhome groove and vibe of the ALL NIGHT Zydeco and Cajun “Dances” at The Grassroots Festival in Trumansburg. The members, all accomplished and revered musicians in their own right, were drawn together by a shared love of the deep dance grooves Zydeco possesses. They’re possessed … be careful, you will be too!!!! The band is led by Rosie Newton (accordion & fiddle), an internationally touring fiddler and singer with her Old Time duo, “Richie and Rosie”. Rosie has shared her fiddling gifts with many bands, having toured several times with Louisiana Zydeco legend Preston Frank, as well as the Canadian band “The Duhks” and Americana bands “Red Dog Run”, “Evil City Stringband”, and “Home Remedy”. Rosie was inspired to play the accordion during her tours with Preston and trips down to Louisiana. WATCH OUT!!
