It's back! The Rochester Fire Department is holding the next 9-week Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) course starting Wednesday, April 8th, 2026.

This is a hands-on emergency preparedness and disaster response training for everyday people. You learn how to help yourself, your family, and your neighbors during emergencies when first responders are stretched thin.

When: Every Wednesday, 6–9pm April 8th through 3rd, 2026
Where: Public Safety Training Facility, 1190 Scottsville Road, Rochester, NY 14624
Cost: Free
Who can attend:
        You do not need to live in the City of Rochester
        Must be 14+ due to subject matter

What to bring: Laptop or notebook and pen (The textbook is provided on a USB drive)

REGISTRATION REQUIRED AND SPACE IS LIMITED. There are 25 spots total, so if you're interested (and commit to 9 weeks), please register asap.
