# Event Details

- **Event Name**: Leviathans of the sea - life in a changing ocean
- **Event Start and End Date**: Sun, 22 Feb, 2026 at 05:00 pm – Sun, 22 Feb, 2026 at 06:30 pm
- **Event Description**: Human use of fossil fuels (oil, coal, gas) is increasing the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, which is leading to global warming. This is impacting the oceans, which are warming, becoming more acidic, and in places de-oxygenated. All of these changes affect life in the sea from the smallest plankton to the largest sea creatures, the “leviathans of the sea”. This talk will explore the changes taking place, their effect on sea creatures, and end with a biblical reflection and challenge.

Admission is free but donations are welcomed. Prebooking is essential.

Doors will open from 16:30, unless you are attending Evensong at 15:15 when ticket holders will be able to remain inside the Cathedral after the service.

Seating is unallocated
