- **Event Description**: Kent Soul Club is in its 20th Year. Playing Original Vinyl Northern Soul, Rare Soul, Soul & Motown to 1000’s of people from all over the UK. Having gone through some very challenging times and circumstances, we have survived and endured and grown. 5 Custodians, 3 different venues, and of all things, the Covid pandemic.

Our DJ’s for 10th July will be;
Jon Marsh
Jon has been a KSC dance floor regular for many years, known for his standout moves. Recently, he’s taken to the decks at major prestigious events, and in recognition of his support for the Northern Soul Scene and support at KSC, he returns to play at our 20th anniversary celebration
 
George Holroyd 
New to KSC and his first time behind the decks, ever, KSC welcomes George. Lifelong listener to Northern Soul and a regular on the dance scene George has been collecting rare hardcore 60’s and 70’s Soul records for nearly a year. Welcome to KSC George.

5 custodians have committed themselves to the running of the club since 2006, each bringing their own style, sound and commitment to keeping the dance floor full for all our members.

We have moved from the Fantastic Royal Function Rooms in Rochester, to the Beacon Court Gillingham returning to The Function Rooms that sadly closed in late 2021. Now in our new home, Strood & Frindsbury WMC in 2026, we are in our 20th Year.

To commemorate our 20th Anniversary year, we have decided to celebrate the past and the future of the Northern Soul Scene and Kent Soul Club.

At each of this years 5 events, a past custodian of Kent Soul Club and a young Northern Soul DJ will take to the decks. Plus, a few surprises throughout the year, it will be a very exciting time for Kent Soul Club.

Strood Train Station is 5 mins walk from the venue
There are many hotels in the area from as little as £45 for a double room
