Join us for an unforgettable night celebrating the music and legacy of Todd Snider—a songwriter beloved for his sharp storytelling, ragged charm, and uncanny ability to turn everyday moments into hilarious, heartfelt truth. Snider’s music blended folk, rock, and Americana into a style all his own, marked by clever wordplay, deeply human characters, and a rebel spirit that inspired artists and audiences for since the 1990s. From satirical anthems to tender compositions eulogizing his friends and mentors, his songs have carved out a place in American songwriting that’s as influential as it is unmistakable. This idea was in the works before the yodeling Todd’s untimely passing. His loss added momentum and urgency to bring our music community together in celebration and remembrance of Todd Snider.
The house band for this special evening will be comprised of:
-Colin Hart (High Low Jack, Rooftop Bar, 14 Frets Band, Grit & Grace, Honeysnutch) on electric and acoustic guitars, vocals,
-Mike Kedley (Zac Brown Tribute Band, String Theory, Ruckus Juice Jug Stompers) on guitar, fiddle banjo, vocals
-Ben Pero (Lefty, Serge & Friends) on upright and electric basses
-Dan Walpole (Ruckus Juice Jug Stompers, North Star String Band, Serge & Friends) on mandolin, guitar and vocals.
Featured artists will include:
-Kurt G. Johnson (The Moho Collective, Blue Sky Brothers, Mikaela Davis) on pedal steel
-Scott Calpin (Honey Smugglers, Sutton Strings) on mandolin
-Jason “Smiley” Engleson (The Garcia Project, Delilah Jones, Eric Carlin’s Half-Dead) on piano
-Xander Reich (Drowning Cowboys, Turkey Blaster Omega) on lap steel and harmonica
-Jesse Pryor (Vassar Brothers) on guitar and vocals
-Serge Tsvasman (Serge & Friends) on guitar and vocals
-Mandy Kralj (Lefty) on vocals.
Additionally, the entire Death Valley Hayride band have hand-picked some of their favorite Todd Snider songs to perform! That ensemble features Tom Hess on keyboard and vocals, Dwight Kanyck on guitar and vocals, Geoff Tesch on guitars.
