Join us for a transformative blues dance experience with the dynamic duo Gab and Zach! Also known as GABSOLUTELY BRASSY.
Two passionate, innovative dancers known for their musicality, knowledge of style, and magnetic teaching energy. Whether you're brand new to blues, coming to it from experience in another dance style, or a seasoned dancer looking to refine your craft, this workshop promises to deepen your understanding of the dance, enrich your partner connection, and ignite your love for the blues.
Over the course of this immersive workshop, Gab and Zach will guide you through many elements and techniques that define blues dancing.
Come ready to move, connect, and rediscover your body’s rhythm in a welcoming, inclusive and joyful space that celebrates this dance. No partner needed — just bring your curiosity, your groove, and your love for the blues.

11:00am - 12:00pm - Garbage Plate Blues
In this class you'll get a whole lot of moves in one glorious pile! We will be serving you a break down of a bunch of solo blues vocabulary and styling. The hot sauce is in the attitude and energy you bring to it!
12:15pm - 1:15pm - Comfy Close Embrace
Close embrace is an essential connection in blues dance. We'll explore this connection, how we make it comfy with each partner we dance with, and give some cool insights into how close embrace can elevate and elaborate skills you already know.
2:15pm - 3:15pm - Home is Where the Groove Is
Finding and centring your groove is an essential part of all dances. In this class we are dedicating time to finding the groove, really feeling it, and getting settled right in the pocket of it.
3:30pm - 4:30pm - It's Like Slow Blues… But Faster
Not all blues is slow and melty! There are so many ways to play within tempos and feels so let's crank it up a little with some blues but....faster.
