After many requests to show this documentary again, we’re bringing it back for another community viewing and discussion.

Sunday, June 14th — 3:30pm at Gloria Dei

This documentary explores how a mistranslation of an Ancient Greek word in the 1946 Revised Standard Version (RSV) Bible created the concept of "homosexual" as a category, fueling anti-LGBTQ+ sentiment and discrimination in religious and political spheres for decades, following the personal journey of a lesbian scholar and her pastor father. 

We will take time after the movie to discuss the ramifications we have experienced in the church around the LGBTQIA2+ community, and ways we can counter hate with love and belonging.
