I am making sense between what’s already lost and what is being built. This project aims to artistically comprehend and to cover that special form of existence - the life in-between two worlds.”The exhibition presents a series of oil paintings in which colour, texture, and composition translate the inner landscapes of migration. Fragments of memory, particles of reality, and emotional states merge on canvas, capturing experiences of splitting, waiting, instability, and uncertainty, alongside openness, hope, and the search for new roots. When words fall short, art becomes the primary language of expression.Complementing the visual works are short essay texts written in both English and Ukrainian. As English is still part of Nadiia’s learning journey, writing functions not only as an artistic practice but also as a means of integration into a new world. The texts are shaped by everyday observations, conversations with fellow immigrants, and reflections on inner emotional states.
