Autism Caregiver Training: Positive Responses to Challenging Situations


The Rochester Center for Children, in partnership with RT Autism Awareness Foundation, invites you to attend a training for parents and caregiver of pre-adolescents and adolescents who are on the autism spectrum.  This training is a two night event that will focus on how to understand behavior, how to manage challenging behavioral situations, and how to prevent potentially harmful behavioral incidents.     Participants will gain a better understanding of why behaviors are happening and learn effective tools and strategies for prventing and managing these difficult situations.   This will include learning and practicing safety techniques.   This training applies to teens and pre-teens and youth (or potentially adults) who are impacted by an autism diagnosis and is not as applicable to young children. 

Registration is $20 for TWO NIGHTS.

April 23rd: 6-8pm and

April 24th: 6-8pm.

Rochester Center for Children  (RCC) provides therapy and support for children with Autism and their families.  They strives to create a nurturing environment where everyone can succeed.

RT Autism Awareness Foundation (RTAAF) is dedicated to improving lives and opportunities for children and adults who have been diagnosed with autism, and their families.   We educate, advocate, and build community.   RTAAF is a non profit 501(c) 3 organization.
