Calling all poets, dreamers, and truth-tellers! The 9th Annual Langston Hughes Poetry Slam returns Nov. 14th as the penultimate event of Achievement Week with this year’s theme: “Dreams Deferred, Still We Rise.” 🔥🎤 Last year we gave away $850 in scholarships, showcased 8 poets from 4 campuses, and packed the house with 150+ people. This year we’re going BIGGER—12 poets from 5 different campuses, guest performers, and even larger prizes! 🌟Come join us for a night of powerful words and creative expression at the University of Rochester's Hubbell Auditorium in Hutchison Hall.
