Wardle Repair Cafe is a monthly group at Wardle Library, starting in January 2026, it will be the last Saturday of every month 1-3pm. Our Repair Café is a free, community pop-up workshop where local people can bring broken household items — things like clothing, small electricals, furniture, bikes, toys, crockery, or gadgets — and get help fixing them instead of throwing them away.
One of our friendly volunteers will try their best to fix your item... And even if you don’t have anything to fix that day, you’re still invited to come for a brew, have a chat, and enjoy the community feel.
The Repair Café isn’t just about mending things. It’s about:
• Cutting down waste and keeping useful items out of landfill
• Saving money by repairing instead of replacing
• Passing on practical skills that are being lost
• Bringing neighbours together to learn, talk, and help each other
Repair Cafés started in Amsterdam in 2009 and have now spread across the world — and we’re excited to bring the same community spirit here to Wardle!
This project is made possible as part of the Rochdale Community Fund by Action Together in partnership with Artful Make It Happen with support from Reuse Littleborough
