MEET + SEW + SWAP

Join us for a sewing workshop to make a drawstring bag out of your used and found materials. Bring in your clothes to be transformed into something new (cottons and linens work best). Use your bag for travelling, storing toys, organising clothes, whatever you like!

For the few items that don't make the cut (!) we will have a couple of rails available for a small scale Clothes Swap. The workshop will be led by Valery Touchet who is a passionate community champion, running sustainable fashion workshops, helping the community to understand more about the pitfalls of 'fast-fashion' and how easy it is to upcycle existing garments into brand new outfits, accessories and household goods.

When: Saturday 28th February 2026

Time: 10.30am-2.30pm

Teas, coffees and snacks will be available on the day.

£5 to secure your place.

We have a limited number of spaces on this workshop and want to make sure as many people as possible can come – if you are no longer able to attend we ask that you please cancel your booking with enough notice.

All skill levels welcome. Sewing tools will be provided (You will be using a sewing machine during the day).

Our full scale Clothes & Stories Swap will take place in the Spring – date coming soon!
