Nature Lab is a six-week, SOL-based science program for homeschool and virtual students taught by a fully licensed teacher in Mill Mountain Park. Nature Lab allows for hands-on, minds-on weekly science exploration.

Ages 8-12
Courses held on Wednesdays from 9-11 AM
Meeting weekly from September 9 to October 14
$75/student for full 6-week series

Students regularly pursue deeper understandings of scientific principles by carrying out investigations, interpreting and analyzing scientific data, playing thematic games, making real-time observations in their journals or natural phenomenon, comparing and contrasting the intricacies of abiotic and biotic ecosystem components while generally exploring the natural beauty in each season of Mill Mountain. Certainly, a side benefit to all of our fun hiking, observing, creating, investigating, and sharing is enhanced social emotional well-being and awareness for student participants.
