Catherine the Great (Catherine Backus) brings her beautifully crafted, emotionally rich songs that have earned top honors at MerleFest’s Chris Austin Songwriting Contest, the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival, and the Bernard/Ebb Awards. She’s shared stages with Molly Tuttle, Kim Richey, Willie Watson, and Ben Sollee.
Maggie Dillow is a writer, performer, and founder of the Post-apocalyptic Poets for a Pre-apocalyptic World. Her work is supported by the Tiny Spoon Residency, the National Women’s History Museum, and the NEH. Her work appears in Conduit, The /temz/ Review, Hot Pink Magazine, and more. She’s also co-host of the Girlhood Movie Database podcast and teaches in Southwest Virginia.
Bob “Mononoke” Schmucker is a Roanoke singer-songwriter, storyteller, and inventor of “bug songs,” a genre inspired by his grandkids. A longtime member of the Southwest Virginia creative community, he’s a blogger (“They Tell Me I’m Crazy”), author, and 3rd Street Coffeehouse mainstay. His music brings blend of humor, heart, and Appalachian insight.
