Areas of Competition—Mandatory Events
Gown (WeeBaby Miss – Classic Ms) All contestants will model a gown of their choice on stage that makes them feel beautiful and special. Wee Baby will wear a short dress. Baby Miss - Petite Miss may model a short or long gown and Preteen Miss and up will model a long gown. Preteen Miss cannot be strapless or have a split and Junior Miss may have a split in the gown but must be no higher than 2 inches above the knee. Gowns should be age appropriate and flattering to the contestant. Scored 1-100 points per judge with a maximum perfect score of 300.
On-Stage Introduction (Mini -Classic Ms) Each contestant will give a maximum 45 second, on-stage introduction. Intro should include name, age, and where you live, hobbies, interesting facts, community service, platform and/or career/life goals. Mini Miss may simply be “My name is ___. I am 2 years old and I live in Lexington, VA.” Intros in Tiny Miss and up should increase in ability. The older the contestant, the more detailed the intro should be. Attire will be white bottoms(shorts,capris, skirt,etc.) shoes of choice, and NEW Tiny Miss T-Shirt (paid for at registration). Scored 1-10 points per judge with a maximum perfect score of 30.
Fun Fashion Runway(Mini – Classic Ms) Work the runway and let your personality shine! Show the judges how you strut your stuff! No pro-am style modeling. No bare midriff in Baby Miss - Petite Miss, for Preteen Miss and up, if midriff shows, it must be tasteful. Scored 1-100 points per judge with a maximum perfect score of 300.
Interview (Mini – Classic Ms) All contestants will compete in a personal, private, panel style Interview. Mini Miss will have a 2-minute interview with easy, age appropriate questions. Tiny Miss – Classic Ms will have a 4-minute interview, based on a one-page resume style fact sheet. Each contestant must create and bring 6 copies of their resume with them to registration. Failure to provide your resume on time could result in a point deduction. Mini Miss may have one parent/guardian present during the interview, contestants only in all other age divisions. Attire is age appropriate, fashion forward dress, pants or anything in between no bare midriff. Mini Miss interview question list will be sent out after entry is received. Scored 1- 100 points per judge with a maximum perfect score of 300.
Optional Competition Events
Photogenic (Wee Baby – Classic Ms) Photos will be submitted at registration and should be no larger than 8.5x11. Photos should be age appropriate with natural or light retouching and may be black/white or color. No glitz photos. You may submit up to 6 total photos, each judge will select their one favorite photo per contestant and score that one photo. This allows for a higher cumulative photo score.Scored 1-100 points per judge with a maximum perfect score of 300.
Print Model (Mini – Classic Ms) Photos will be submitted at registration and should be no larger than 8.5x11. Photos may be ¾ length or full body shot and should be age appropriate with natural or light retouching and may be black/white or color. No glitz photos. You may submit up to 6 total photos, each judge will select their one favorite photo per contestant and score that one photo. Scored 1-100 points per judge with a maximum perfect score of 300.
Casual Wear (Mini – Classic Ms) Have fun and model your cute, stylish, trendy, casual outfit that shows off your personality and modeling ability. Scored 1-100 points per judge with a maximum perfect score of 300.
NEW!!! Be A Star (Mini – Classic Ms) Have fun and model a cute, stylish, trendy outfit that just screams rockstar, hollywood, popstar, etc!!! Who is your favorite star and dress like them for this event. Outfit can represent the stardom theme or a star celebrity you want to represent.. Make sure you show off your personality. Hand props are allowed. Most of all, HAVE FUN!!!. Scored 1-100 points per judge with a maximum perfect score of 300.
Talent (Mini – Classic Ms) Be creative and show us what you got! 2 minute time limit. Absolutely no use of weapons, fire, or blowing or scattering glitter/paper/sprinkles/bubbles on the stage.. Scored 1-100 points per judge with a maximum perfect score of 300.
Tiny Miss VA/DC Titles and Awards
(National Fees and awards are paid based on having 65 Fully Paid Contestants —directors reserve the right to prorate prizes and fees)
Outstanding Miss Virginia/ Outstanding Miss District of Columbia (Mini-Classic Ms. Contestants) —with the highest combined score from all mandatory events, plus 2 highest scoring optional events (at least 1 of the optional scores must be on stage events). This contestant will win our Outstanding Miss crown, sash, 5ft. trophy, flowers, gifts, and Full Mandatory Fees paid to Tiny Miss of America 2026!
Young Miss Virginia/ Young Miss District of Columbia , Senior Miss Virginia/ Senior Miss District of Columbia -Young Miss (Mini Miss-Petite Miss) and Senior Miss (Preteen Miss-Classic Ms) will be the contestant in each Highpoint breakdown with the highest combined scores from her mandatory events, plus her 1 highest scoring optional event. She will win our Highpoint crown, sash, 5 ft. trophy, flowers, gifts, and $300 in Fees Paid to Tiny Miss of America 2026!
Age Division Queens (Mini-Classic Ms.) -The Age Division Queens will be the contestant with the highest overall score of the mandatory events in their division. They will win our age division crown, sash, 4 ft. trophy, flowers, luggage, gifts, and $100 in Fees paid to Tiny Miss of America 2026. Each age division will have four runner ups. Wee Baby and Baby Miss Virginia/ Wee Baby and Baby Miss District of Columbia -This will be the contestant in the Wee Baby and Baby divisions who has the highest score in gown. She will win a crown, sash, 4 ft. trophy, flowers, gifts and $100 in fees paid to Tiny Miss of America 2025. There will be four runner ups.
Spirit of Tiny Miss Virginia/ Spirit of Tiny Miss District of Columbia —one contestant who exhibits the true meaning of sportsmanship and the ideals of Tiny Miss throughout the pageant weekend. She will win a crown, sash, trophy, flowers, gifts and $100 off of fees to Tiny Miss of America 2026. The Spirit of Tiny Miss is a Queen’s title and will have the same privileges and sign the same contract as our other Queens. The Top 10 nominees for Spirit of Tiny Miss will be recognized on stage! A secret panel of judges will be everywhere throughout the pageant. No one will know who they are, but they will be watching and taking notes of the contestants who exhibit the true meaning of good sportsmanship and the ideals of Tiny Miss. Contestants in all divisions are eligible except for Wee Baby and Baby.
People’s Choice Queen – Friends, family and members of our audience can choose their queen and vote for their favorite contestant! Each vote costs $1 and voting will go live online 2 weeks before the pageant (directors will email contestants when voting goes live) and voting will end Saturday night March 14 at 10pm. Voting can be done in person during pageant weekend at the registration table (cash only) There will be two winners, one for Virginia and One for District of Columbia. The winner will receive a sash, trophy and fees off to Tiny Miss of America 2026.
Highpoint Optionals -There will be an overall winner(Outstanding Miss) in Photogenic, Printmodel, Talent, Casual Wear, and Be A Star as well in each Highpoint breakdown (Young Miss and Senior Miss). The winners will receive a special highpoint award and a Cash Prize.
Division Optional Awards: There will be one divisional winner in each age group for each optional area of competition. Divisional winners will receive an award.
Cover Miss - In order to have a successful program book, we encourage contestants to sell ad pages. The contestant selling the most ad pages (5-ad minimum) will receive a gift and will have her picture on the back cover of the program book. Sell 10 full ad pages and you will also receive $100 off in fees to the Tiny Miss of America National Pageant. Ad pages are $100 for a full page, $50 for a half page and $25 for a quarter size. All ads must be emailed in single files (pdf format) and ready to send to the printer. Must be emailed to the pageant directors by the pageant entry deadline. No ads will be accepted after the deadline.
Every contestant will receive a gift and a plaque.
No one will leave empty-handed from our pageant!
Tiny Miss Rules
1. Unsportsmanlike behavior will not be tolerated from anyone! If this type of behavior is seen in a contestant, parent, coach or guest, we reserve the right to disqualify the contestant and you will be asked to leave the pageant without a refund. We reserve the right to refuse entry to any future pageants as well.
2. A Contestant must reside and/or go to school/college in Virginia to compete for any of the Tiny Miss Virginia Titles. Tiny Miss DC titles are “open state” titles, meaning you may reside in any state including Virginia and enter the DC side of the pageant.
3. Parents are only allowed backstage for Wee Baby, Baby, Mini and Tiny divisions. Parents may accompany the Wee Baby and Baby contestants on stage.
Rule 4: An X will be located on the floor behind the judges and if you need to assist your contestant while she is on stage you may do so from there only.
5. The contestant’s age division is based on age as of the first day of the pageant. If the contestant will age up to the next division by Nationals and they wish to move up now, they may.
6. You will receive a 2-point deduction if you are late for your division. You will receive a 5-point deduction if you do not purchase your Tiny Miss TShirt.
7. There will be no dressing room available, you MUST have or share a room at the hotel.
8. Please do not ask how many are in your age division or who is in your age division.
9. No video cameras/cameras allowed in the ballroom. If you are seen taking photos or videos, you may be asked to leave if you do not comply with the request to stop. If you are asked to leave, you will not receive a refund for your tickets.
10. We do not have a no-compete clause. You may compete in other systems, as long as you fulfill your Tiny Miss title obligations per your contract.
11. Ties will be broken as follows: If there is a tie for a queen’s title, the contestant with the highest gown score will win. If there is still a tie, the contestant with the highest interview score will win. If there is still a tie, the contestant with the highest fun fashion runway score will win. If there is still a tie the contestant with the highest on-stage introduction score will win. If there is still a tie, the judges will be asked to break the tie. If there is a tie for an event award, the head judge will be asked to break the tie. All decisions are final.
12. All contestants must have a good moral character.
13. All State Queens are highly encouraged to compete in the 2025 Tiny Miss of America National Pageant..
How do I enter?
1. Fill out your online Google Entry Form (preferred) or mail in paper version to Toni Bowyer 503 Tyler Street Staunton VA 24401. Please keep a copy for your records. We will not accept scanned or photographed copies of any forms. They must be mailed or the online forms filled out. No Exceptions!
2. Email your program book photo (will not be judged) to

3. You may include a money order or cashiers check made out to Toni Bowyer for a deposit of $200 up to the full payment with your application or you may PayPal to
dGlueW1pc3N2YXd2ZGMgfCBnbWFpbCAhIGNvbQ== by friends and family. No personal checks will be accepted! At registration, cash or paypal only. Your entry will not be accepted without the required $200 deposit. Deposits and fees paid are non-refundable / non-transferable.
4. NEW PAYMENT PLAN: We are now offering two payment plan options for Mini-Classic VA/DC crossover mandatory fees. Option 1: $47 each for 10 payments $47 x 10=$470.00 or Option 2: $94 x 5 =$470 for 5 monthly payments .If you join post the payment plan start date you must make all payments that were due prior to your enrollment. ALL PAYMENTS are NON- REFUNDABLE.
5. Bring white bottoms and shoe of choice for the group picture and on stage introductions. (you will wear your Tiny Miss T-shirt purchased prior to the pageant with Kiki Scott/Embracing Fire Designs).
