From every corner of the earth, terrible creatures have come to tear the heart from Caid. For three years we fearlessly answered the call and defended this Kingdom. Standing shoulder to shoulder we stared across the battlefield at unfathomable foes. With each battle we emerged stronger and wiser, though it came at a price. We are not unscarred, and some of our ranks have been lost.
By my own endeavors, I have discovered a cave so deep that even fear does not dare to trespass. I ventured down into this enigma to see what secrets might lie in the oozing black depths. Staring into the stale black I could see nothing, hear nothing, and feel…nothing. A defiant scream leapt from my throat and was returned by no echo of my own making. Instead, what I heard was the very distant cries of my fallen comrades, and something else.
In a harrowing attempt to bridge the undead expanse and reach out to our fallen friends I am leading an expedition back into those formidable depths. Only the purest of heart and sharpest of minds will survive the journey. Therefore, I seek the bravest and brightest stars among us to accompany me in my quest.
Once more, the call goes out.

It is time to defend the Kingdom again! Academia Draconis is a multi-day camping event designed to provide practical training on the battlefield, personal development for chivalry and defense. With classes and discussions about Marshalling, Armored Combat, Rapier Combat, Youth Combat, and Art/Science skills that intersect with fighting, it is not just a tournament but an all-encompassing weekend of martial skills!
There will also be food and revelry as the Blue Mountain Inn returns on Saturday night!
Academia Draconis will be held March 20th -22nd 2026, at Rancho Jurupa Regional Park.

From the 60 freeway, take exit 50 onto Rubidoux Blvd (from 60E turn right from 60W turn left), turn left onto Mission Blvd, right onto Crestmore Road, then left into the park.
From the 91 freeway: take exit 64 (from 91E exit University Ave, continue straight then turn left, from 91W Mission Inn Ave, turn right) onto Mission Inn Ave, turn left onto Crestmore Road, then left into the park.

The park typically has an entry fee, but we will be collecting it as part of your site fee. Please let the rangers at the gate know that you are with the SCA, and you should be allowed to enter without payment.
Please note the park gate closes at 10 PM. If you are planning on arriving late, please look for a future announcement on park access. Park gate hours are 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
RV Camping:
RV camping is permitted only in the park’s designated RV camping area, a short walk from the Academia Draconis site. A separate RV camping reservation is required. For information, and to make a reservation, please visit the Rancho Jurupa Regional Park website at

Pets:
Pets on leash are permitted. Leash length not to exceed 6 feet. The park does charge a separate fee for pets that must be paid to the rangers upon entry.
Alcohol:
This is a wet site, and alcohol is permitted in the park.

Youths aged 17 and under are welcome as guests of the Barony, free of charge.

All minors not attended by their parent or legal guardian MUST have a Minors Waiver and a Minor Medical authorization form signed and notarized by the minor’s parent or legal guardian. If you do not have this paperwork, you will not be allowed to enter the park.
