Pruning Workshop: A Deeper Look

Are you a gardener who wants to DEEPEN your knowledge of tree physiology and plant care? In this 3-hour workshop, we’ll discuss the techniques and strategies behind successfully pruning a wide variety of woody shrubs and small trees in the residential landscape. You'll understand the reasoning behind every cut you make.

TOPICS INCLUDE:

> typical woody plant structure, defenses, and growth (including nutrient flow)
> the science behind wounding and healing of plant tissues
> seasonal energy cycles
> pruning considerations for certain plant species
> aesthetic issues of pruning
> tool selection and maintenance

The class is divided between classroom time and field demonstration/hands-on practice of pruning techniques, JOIN US for this in-depth, educational look at how to help your trees and woody shrubs live their BEST -- and most beautiful -- lives.
