John Waite’s 40 year career, as a solo artist and with The Babys and Bad English, features some of the most loved songs of the 70s, 80s and 90s with his talent for power ballads and driving arena rock– the #1 worldwide hit ‘Missing You’, The Babys’ ‘Isn’t It Time’ and Bad English ‘When I See You Smile’ rank amongst some of his biggest international hits and are still heard on radio today. SHANE FONTAYNE The working relationship and friendship between John Waite and Shane Fontayne - who are both from the UK - spans over two decades and 9 albums. Shane has performed in many genres and roles from rock to country and western, from independent musician to producer. Shane’s unique guitar sound is well-known for its jangle, passion, energy, and versatility - and he can rock out with the best as he proved during Bruce Springsteen's world tour. Amongst others, Shane has toured with Mick Taylor, Rod Stewart, Jackson Browne, Sting, Marc Cohn, Crosby, John Waite, CSN, Graham Nash, and he has a long history of recording. As well as a touring band member, Shane has been a member of at least five bands and has produced two albums of his own music. Shane is most proud of his seven years as lead guitarist with the Kennedy Center Honors house band (Springsteen, McCartney, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Sting, Billy Joel, Neil Diamond).
