Thirty kilometres. Three trig points. Multiple reservoirs. The M62 crossed on foot via footbridge. And Hebden Bridge waiting at the other end. This guided Pennine Way hike takes in some of the most dramatic and varied moorland in the north of England, passing White Hill, Blackstone Edge, and the unmistakable silhouette of Stoodley Pike. It is a genuine physical challenge and one of the most rewarding days you can spend on the UK's oldest national trail.

This walk was designed specifically for women who want to spend more time outdoors, try something new, and build confidence in body and mind. When guide Kate Rhodes walked the Pennine Way herself in 2023, she barely saw another female hiker on the trail. That is exactly what this walk is here to change. You will be in a small, supportive group of no more than six, moving at a pace that works for everyone, with a guide who has walked every metre of this route and knows what you need to feel ready.

You need to be comfortable walking 30 kilometres in a day and happy on rough moorland terrain. This is rated 6 out of 10 for difficulty and is best suited to walkers who are reasonably fit and looking to push themselves. If you have any doubts about whether this is right for you, reach out before booking.

Meet at 8am outside the Railway Pub, opposite the train station and car park in Marsden. 
Approximate arrival into Hebden Bridge at 5pm. Both Marsden and Hebden Bridge are accessible by train, so please check your return journey before the day.

Bring a minimum of 2 litres of water, food for the day, comfortable walking boots, a 20 litre day pack, and money if you want to stop for a drink at the pub along the way.
