The town of Rishikesh is hidden in the foothills of the Himalayas and is known as ‘the yoga capital of the world.’ The sacred Ganges River, with its crystal-clear waters, weaves through the heart of Rishikesh and the sounds of chanting are heard every morning at night which add to its magical atmosphere. This beautiful town is not just a place to visit; it’s a spiritual pilgrimage that invites you to reconnect with your inner self. Temples, ashrams, meditation caves and beautiful waterfalls are scattered throughout the area and contribute to an atmosphere where grounded spirituality meets with the beauty of nature breathtaking scenery of the Himalayas mountains. Along the journey we will have opportunities to drop in along our travels for meditation sessions, Breathwork sessions and share circles at the end of each day. This retreat is delivered in an organised, yet layback style where the aim is to cultivate heartfelt connections and explore yourself on deeper levels physically mentally emotionally and spiritually like never before. You will also have everything taken care of for you including your transport, accommodation and touring. All you need to focus on is being completely present in the experience. RETREAT ITINERARY: DAY 1: Arrive in Delhi/Check into Hotel Welcome Dinner Time to rest and explore DAY 2: Take Bus to Rishikesh. Check in to new accomodation. There will also be time for relaxing or exploring in the afternoon. Yoga practice to end the day. DAY 3: Rishikesh Touring & Cultural Day Morning practice, followed by day visiting temples and scared sites including Chaurasi Kutia; the ashram the battles stayed when they visited between the 1960s and 1970s when leaning transcendental meditation. Free time in afternoon. DAY 4: Free Day after morning practice. *other optional experiences available this day include shopping, white water rafting, hiking, Ayurvedic Treatments, etc DAY 5: Waterfall and Cave Exploring Day. Morning practice, followed by day of touring and short hikes exploring the beautiful nature in and around Rishikesh. Opportunity to visit waterfalls and scared meditation caves. We will have an opportunity to sit and meditate throughout the day. Free time in afternoon. DAY 6: Ayurvedic Treatments and Day Spa Day. Morning practice, followed by day spent discovering the ancient wisdom of the sister science to yoga in Ayurveda. The afternoon will be spent in day spa relaxing and receiving other optional treatments and/or Ayurvedic massages.
