Me, Thee and E
Me, Thee & E are a songwriting duo, formed in the summer of 2017. Their take on the singer-songwriter thing spirals out of a love of jazz, classical and folk music, from Bach to Gershwin, Bob Dylan to Ella Fitzgerald and back again. Their songs tell the tales of their times - relationships, society, philosophy and politics - all told with the wisdom of late night bar talk. There’s anger and sadness, optimism, gladness, and a selection of songs from this first period of touring life.
Tom is a jack of all trades, a failed jazz pianist taken to the guitar, and Evie is a classical singer who never practiced her scales and decided she preferred singing folk songs instead. They draw on these failures to bring you a rather lovely melting pot of sounds and stories from every part of the western music map. Evie and Tom are formidable live performers and you should expect exciting, improvised interplay between vocal and guitar along with many a story.
