Dickens of a Christmas Gingerbread House Contest

The aroma of holiday spices, candy canes, sugar gumdrops, and gingerbread will soon swirl through the air. The Dickens of a Christmas Gingerbread House Contest, hosted by Farrell’s Fine Furnishings (214 Watson Street), kicks off Friday evening, December 5, during the Dickens of a Christmas festival. Guests are invited to stop in, admire the deliciously creative entries, and cast a vote for their favorite..

Bakers will compete for their creation to be voted the best in one of two categories: children 14 and under; and an adult/family category. For additional information on the Gingerbread House Contest, contact Troy Farrell at 920-748-6370.

The Gingerbread House Contest is part of Ripon’s 35th annual Dickens of a Christmas celebration which takes place December 5-6, 2025. This year's event will showcase a variety of holiday activities throughout the community, kicking off with the Holiday Parade on Friday evening. The highlight of the weekend are the holiday scenes that are on display in storefront windows during the Dickens of a Christmas Living Windows event which takes place on Saturday evening (December 6) from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
