Participants will create a lesson from scratch and will explore pre-existing lessons created with the Desmos Activity Builder. The workshop will address topics including transformations of graphs using quadratic and trigonometric functions, optimization problems (no calculus needed), regression, and systems of equations and inequalities with applications involving matrices. These topics align with Tennessee mathematics standards (2021) Algebra II F.BF.A.1&3, F.LE.A.1, A.REI.B.3&4, A.REI.B.4, S.ID.B4, A.CED.A.1&2, N.M.A.1-3, Precalculus F.BF.A.1, F.TF.A.5, F.GT.A. 1&3, S.MD.A.1-3, and Mathematical Reasoning A.LP.A.1-3. Lunch is provided. This workshop is similar to the June 3 workshop.
