Prepare for a challenging but rewarding run through the beautiful Gatewood Trails system. This 10K/5K route is built for true trail runners, featuring the classic, rugged Appalachian foothills terrain that makes the area famous.
Runners will navigate a dynamic course characterized by:
Rolling Hills: Expect a steady challenge with frequent, yet manageable, ups and downs that will test your legs and endurance.
Winding Single-Track: The path is primarily packed dirt and single-track, which will require attentive footing.
The course will be clearly marked with high-visibility flagging and tape.

The Gatewood Trials 10K/5K is more than just a challenging race; it's a vital fundraiser dedicated to supporting the Gallia Academy track & field team and the future student-athletes in our community. Every stride you take on the Gatewood Trails helps us cross our finish line: raising funds for essential team needs.
Your registration fee will directly fund the team's ability to compete this season by providing new, uniforms, ensuring the athletes feel confident and united, and covering crucial travel and competition expenses, including the costs of transport, lodging, and entry fees for competitive meets.

If you have never been to Gatewood Trail System, please insert the whole address into your GPS. Follow the gravel road all the way back to the trail system. Parking will be in the Grass leading to the shelterhouse.
