Powers-Walker House Living History: Life and Times of WWII

Visit this Greek Revival 1854 house and learn about the families that once called it home.

August's open house features the Schaeffer and Steinmetz families, who lived in the area during the World War II era. Historical volunteers will be on hand to answer questions. View war-time memorabilia and listen to stories of the home-front and from the soldiers' perspective on events that changed the world.

Powers-Walker House is located within Glacial Park. Enter at Route 31 and Harts Road, and follow signs to Powers-Walker House.

This is a free, all-ages, drop-in program. Registration not required.
