About the event

Powers-Walker House: Archaeological Awareness
Visit this Greek Revival 1854 house and learn about the families that once called it home.

October's open house features archaeologists who will describe how prehistoric technologies are discovered and interpreted, and volunteers will demonstrate some prehistoric skills. Examples of artifacts will be on display, including those found at the Powers-Walker House. Bring your own arrowheads or prehistoric tools for identification by professional archaeologists.

Powers-Walker House is located within Glacial Park. Enter at Route 31 and Harts Road, and follow signs to Powers-Walker House.

This is a free, all-ages, drop-in program. Registration not required.
