[??] ROSA MENKMAN (1983.) je nizozemska umjetnica, kustosica i svjetski priznata teoretičarka specijalizirana u području glitch art umjetnosti i teorije rezolucije. Kao pionirka glitch art umjetnosti i jedna od najznačajnijih teoretičarki pokreta, u knjizi "Network Notebook #04: The Glitch Moment(um)" (2011.) predložila je da se ovaj pravac odredi kao poseban žanr u suvremenoj umjetnosti. Izlagala je na brojnim izložbama diljem svijeta, a radovi joj se nalaze u kolekciji Stedilijk muzeja u Amsterdamu i The Art Insitute of Chicago.

Naslanjajući se na poznatu sliku Paula Kleea ??????? ????? ('Novi anđeo') iz 1920. godine, te na filozofsku interpretaciju Waltera Benjamina koji to djelo opisuje kao sliku „Anđela povijesti“, Rosa Menkman kroz izložbu ??????? ????? istražuje što se događa sa slikama u suvremenom digitalnom okruženju, kada se one neprestano kopiraju, obrađuju, fragmentiraju i premještaju kroz razne platforme i algoritme...

[??] ROSA MENKMAN (1983) is a Dutch artist, curator, and internationally renowned theorist specializing in glitch art and the art and theory of resolution. As a pioneer of glitch art and one of the movement’s most influential theorists, in her book "Network Notebook #04: The Glitch Moment(um)" (2011) she proposed an understanding of glitch art as a particular genre of contemporary art. She has exhibited widely internationally, and her works are held in the collections of the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and the Art Institute of Chicago.

Drawing on Paul Klee’s iconic 1920 painting ??????? ????? ("New Angel") and Walter Benjamin’s philosophical interpretation of the work as the “Angel of History,” Rosa Menkman’s exhibition explores what happens to images in today’s digital environment as they are continuously copied, processed, fragmented, and circulated across platforms and algorithms...
