▐ Muzej moderne i suvremene umjetnosti predstavlja "Koreografije nasilja", prvu veliku samostalnu izložbu Jelene Jureše u Hrvatskoj, koja okuplja pregled njezine recentne produkcije iz područja filma, videa i videoinstalacije.

U svojem radu Jelena Jureša bavi se pitanjima identiteta, politikama sjećanja i zaborava, odnosom promatrača i promatranog, reprezentacijskih (ne)moći slike. Istražujući složene odnose između kolektivnog sjećanja i političke odgovornosti, umjetnička praksa Jelene Jureše propituje načine na koje se povijest reflektira i reproducira u suvremenom društvu.

Izložba  okuplja četiri rada postavljena u velike središnje izložbene dvorane MMSU-a kao imerzivne audiovizualne instalacije: radi se o novom eksperimentalnom filmu i videoinstalaciji "Ne shvaćajte to osobno" (2025.), eksperimentalnom filmu "Ubundu" (2019.), te monumentalnom i kompleksnom radu "Afazija" (2019.), dugometražnom filmskom eseju koji se strukturira u tri poglavlja, a dodatno se razvija i kao višekanalna instalacija dokumentacije istoimene multimedijalne izvedbe ("Afazija, partitura za monitore", 2025.). Većina radova se po prvi put prikazuje u Hrvatskoj.

▐ Dan nakon otvorenja u petak, 14. 11. 2025. u 18 sati, održat će se razgovor u kojem sudjeluju Jelena Jureša, Barbara Matejčić, Aleksandra Sekulić, Branka Benčić i moderatorica Ivana Pejić, a koji progovara o politikama reprezentacije, strukturnom nasilju i političkoj afaziji u umjetničkom i društvenom kontekstu.

▐ The Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art presents "Choreography of Violence", Jelena Jureša’s first larger solo exhibition in Croatia, which gives an overview of her recent production in the area of film, video and film installation.

In her work, Jelena Jureša explores the issues of identity, politics of memory and oblivion, the relationship between the observer and the observed, and the representational power of the image. By exploring the complex interplay between collective memory and political responsibility, her artistic practice questions the ways in which history is reflected and reproduced in contemporary society.

The exhibition  brings together four works as immersive audiovisual installations, fully transforming the exhibition space. The exhibition puts into dialogue Jureša’s new experimental film "Don’t Take It Personally" (2025), experimental film "Ubundu" (2019), and a monumental and complex work "Aphasia" (2019) – a feature-length film essay structured in three chapters, unfolding further as a multi-channel installation that documents the eponymous multimedia performance "Aphasia, Score for Monitors" (2025). The majority of the works are exhibited in Croatia for the first time.

▐ The day after the opening, on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 6 p.m., a discussion will be held featuring Jelena Jureša, Barbara Matejčić, Aleksandra Sekulić, Branka Benčić, and moderator Ivana Pejić, addressing the politics of representation, structural violence, and political aphasia in the artistic and social context.
