Riga’s experimental music festival Skaņu Mežs 2026 will take place on October 9–10 at Hanzas Perons (16A Hanzas Street). Alongside the previously announced metal group Krallice, the program now expands with five new acts: Gudrun Gut (DE), aya (GB), Charlemagne Palestine, Oren Ambarchi & Daniel O’Sullivan (US/AU/UK), Infinity Knives & Brian Ennals (US), and the trio of Michael Foster, Leila Bordreuil & Chris Corsano (US/FR).

Two-day tickets can now be purchased for 60 EUR at https://ej.uz/SM_2026. 

The festival is supported by the State Culture Capital Foundation of Latvia, Riga City Council, Goethe-Institut Riga, and the Trust for Mutual Understanding. 
Skaņu Mežs is part of the sound art project tekhnē, supported by the European Union and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia. The festival is also part of the NERDS network, co-funded by the Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Culture.

Eksperimentālās mūzikas festivāls “Skaņu mežs” šogad noritēs 9. un 10. oktobrī kultūras telpā “Hanzas Perons” (Hanzas ielā 16A). Līdzās iepriekš izziņotajai blekmetāla grupai “Krallice” festivāla programma ir tikusi papildināta ar vēl pieciem māksliniekiem un grupām. Divu dienu biļetes uz festivālu ir pieejamas www.bilesuserviss.lv, un to cena ir 60 EUR.

Līdzās iepriekš izziņotajai blekmetāla grupai “Krallice” festivāla programmu papildina:
-) vācu elektroniskās mūzikas pagrīdes veterāne Gudruna Guta (Gudrun Gut);
-) alternatīvā hiphopa producenta “Infinity Knives” duets ar reperi Braienu Ennalsu (Brian Ennals);
-) britu post-klubu mūzikas producente un vokāliste aya;
-) minimālisma komponists Šārlmeins Palestains (Charlemagne Palestine) sadarbībā ar ģitāristu un elektronisko mūziķi Orenu Ambarči (Oren Ambarchi), kā arī grupas “Ulver” dalībnieku Danielu O’Salivanu (Daniel O’Sullivan);
-) saksofonista Maikla Fostera (Michael Foster), čellistes Leilas Bordrējas (Leila Bordreuil) un bundzinieka Krisa Korsano (Chris Corsano) brīvās improvizācijas trio. 

Festivāla atbalstītāji ir Valsts kultūrkapitāla fonds, Rīgas dome, Latvijas Republikas Kultūras ministrija, fonds “Trust for Mutual Understanding”, Gētes institūts Rīgā, Eiropas Savienības atbalstītais projekts “tekhnē”, “Valmiermuižas alus”.

“Skaņu mežs” koordinē arī Baltijas-Ziemeļvalstu festivālu tīklu “NERDS”, ko atbalsta Ziemeļvalstu-Baltijas mobilitātes programma kultūrai “Nordic Culture Point”.

Festivālu informatīvi atbalsta “The Quietus”, “TVNET”, “Satori”, “Radio NABA”, “Arterritory”, “Mūzikas Saule” un LA.LV.
