BalTfolk savā pastāvēšanas vēsturē katru gadu cenšas rīkot vismaz vienu lielāku pasākumu. Iepriekš dēvēta par "Danču dienu", kas norisinājās Jelgavā, nu kļuvusi par "Blusu balli" un pārcēlusies uz Rīgu.
Aicinām visus mūzikas un dejas interesentus, kas vēlas mācīties jaunas dejas, izdejoties, vai vienkārši baudīt lielisku vakaru dažādu melodiju pavadījumā, apmeklēt jau otro Blusu Balli.
Pirmie mākslinieki "Feather and Fox" uzstāsies īpašā pasākumā jau 20.martā (adrese tiks precizēta!)
Savukārt, 21.martā pēc deju darbnīcām balli Ģertrūdes ielas teātrī sāksim jau plkst.18:00.
Vakara gaitā uzstāsies 4 dažādi muzikālie sastāvi - "Brička", Rolands Zelčs, "Rahu trio", kā arī burvīgs duets "Feather and Fox" (Beļģija/Vācija)

KĀDĒĻ BLUSU BALLE?
"Blusa nekad nebija bijusi starp stilīgajiem un modīgajiem kukaiņiem. Svārku krāšņumā ar vabolēm tā nevarēja ne sacensties. Tikumīgākās un čaklākās vienmēr bija bijušas skudras. Īpašas mājvietas un aprūpi vienmēr izpelnījās bites. Arī dziesmas un dzejoļus vienmēr dzirdēja skandējam par circeņiem vai taureņiem. Bet bija kas tāds, kur blusu pārspēt nevarēja neviens. Viņa uzvilka savus labākos brunčus, uzvika kurpes, kādas nu bija, un devās uz balli. Ballē dancojot, blusa lēca par visiem visaugstāk, griezās par visiem visstraujāk un neizlaida nevienu danci. Un kavalieru tai netrūka. Balle izvērtās tik jautra un lustīga, ka kopš tā laika visas labākās balles tā arī sāka saukt - par Blusu ballēm."

Throughout its history, BalTfolk has aimed to organize at least one larger event every year. Previously known as “Dance Day” and held in Jelgava, the event has now become the “Flea Party” and moved to Riga.
We invite all music and dance enthusiasts - whether you want to learn new dances, dance the night away, or simply enjoy a wonderful evening accompanied by a variety of melodies - to attend the second Flea Party.
The first artists, “Feather and Fox,” will perform at a special event already on March 20 (the address will be announced!).
On March 21, after the dance workshops, we will begin the ball at 18:00 at the Gertrude Street Theatre.
Throughout the evening, four different musical groups will perform: “Brička,” Rolands Zelčs, “Rahu Trio,” as well as the charming duo “Feather and Fox” (Belgium/Germany).
Admission is by ticket.
Ticket prices: €25 in advance, €30 at the door.
WHY THE FLEA BALL?
“The flea had never been among the stylish and fashionable insects. It could not compete with beetles in the splendor of skirts. The most virtuous and hardworking had always been the ants. Bees were the ones who always received special homes and care. And songs and poems were always sung about crickets or butterflies. But there was one thing no one could surpass the flea in. She put on her best skirt, slipped into whatever shoes she had, and went to the ball. At the ball, the flea jumped higher than everyone else, spun faster than anyone, and missed not a single dance. And she never lacked admirers.
The ball turned out so joyful and lively that from that time on,
all the best balls began to be called - Flea Parties.”
